Easily the best thinker out of the rationals. I personally find Rousseau to be extremely tasteless and sloppy in his theoretical writings, and Jefferson was always more of a slow draft kind of guy. Voltaire's theorizing is excellent; he can maintain both interest and depth without losing conciseness.
